Hey...it's a Ruff Election Year...What kind of Pets do the presidential candidates own???

So, as a puppy, I am a strong advocate for owning more pets! I have a pet bird named Peanut and a few goldfish.

SO, Lauren, who you might call my owner...but acutually, I own her has been quite interested in the political election coverage. She has always seemed to have an interest in politics for as long ago as I can remember...So, sometimes, when the dog whisperer is not on TV, I'll watch the media coverage of the presidential candidates and the election campaigns overall.

From what I've noticed, as I chew on my bone, the media can be a little biased and a little "ruff" towards the right-winged candidates. From what I have heard, b/c I was only born seven months ago, mainstream media tends to steer away from personal lives and issues...especially concerning the children of the political candidates...

For example, the mainstream media did not tear apart former president Clinton's daughter Chelsea...or paint her unattractively in the spotlight...Was this just because she is daughter of a left-winged politician?

However, the media has constantly shawdowed the Bush daughters at college and portrayed them in past media reports as "drunk sorority girls."

Most recently, Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin's family and daughter have been portrayed in the media as unfit and unconvential due to a teen pregnancy. Why is the media placing such a large emphasis on this poor girl during a stressful time in her life? From the puppy perspective, I would love to cuddle in her lap and make her feel better.

I feel as though the mainstream media is jeopardizing any chance Barack O'Bama has in the election, because the more often the media rips apart a typical American family with internal struggles, as all American families have...the more Americans can correlate with the struggles and issues...the more likely they ideal with Palin...as a result, O'Bama's numbers decrease...despite if no negative commentary is made on his behalf.
