A Pig?

Okay...so coming from the perspective of a female animal often referred to as a "bitch," I have a bit of understanding...

Yesterday, Sept. 9th, Mr. Barack O'Bama made a referrence to Sarah Palin's lipstick conctroversy...as he was discussing the fact that McCain is promising a change from President Bush's policies, he mentioned, "You can put LIPSTICK on a pig," pause, pause, Chuckle from O'Bama & LOUD Laughter from the crowd...followed by further analogies...including a dead fish...haha...

The ironic part is that "Lipstick" has been the buzz work since Sarah Palin proclaimed last week at the RNC, "What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? LIPSTICK!" The catch lipstick phrase has been made into stickers, slogans on t-shirts, etc...supporting McCain/Palin.

From that historical reference, why on earth would O'Bama make that reference, unless he was obviously trying to "BARK" at Palin intentionally? Furthermore, his VP candidate, Joe Biden made a similiar negative comment involving lipstick yesterday....

I think the negativity is only boosting McCain/Palin towards victory...Americans pity and ideal with the unfair criticism and attacks on McCain/Palin, therefore they will ideally support them more than a "Bully Candidate."

Presidential Candidate Pets

During my last post, I intended to tell you about the Presidential Candidate's pets...

This is quite exciting...Woof Woof...Yap Yap!!

Well, with my little paw research...

I have discovered....

John McCain proudly owns 3 turtles, 3 parakeets, a ferret, 2 dogs, a cat, and 13 salt water fish....What a BIG Pet household!?!

Barack O'Bama does not own any pets, however he has discussed getting a dog for his children...maybe he won't flip flop on that promise to the kids? Just joking! Puppy humor...

Although Hillary is out of the race, she owns a chocolate lab:)

I wasn't able to find anything out yet about the VP Hopeful's pets!

I'll keep searching after my doggy nap!

Hey...it's a Ruff Election Year...What kind of Pets do the presidential candidates own???

So, as a puppy, I am a strong advocate for owning more pets! I have a pet bird named Peanut and a few goldfish.

SO, Lauren, who you might call my owner...but acutually, I own her has been quite interested in the political election coverage. She has always seemed to have an interest in politics for as long ago as I can remember...So, sometimes, when the dog whisperer is not on TV, I'll watch the media coverage of the presidential candidates and the election campaigns overall.

From what I've noticed, as I chew on my bone, the media can be a little biased and a little "ruff" towards the right-winged candidates. From what I have heard, b/c I was only born seven months ago, mainstream media tends to steer away from personal lives and issues...especially concerning the children of the political candidates...

For example, the mainstream media did not tear apart former president Clinton's daughter Chelsea...or paint her unattractively in the spotlight...Was this just because she is daughter of a left-winged politician?

However, the media has constantly shawdowed the Bush daughters at college and portrayed them in past media reports as "drunk sorority girls."

Most recently, Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin's family and daughter have been portrayed in the media as unfit and unconvential due to a teen pregnancy. Why is the media placing such a large emphasis on this poor girl during a stressful time in her life? From the puppy perspective, I would love to cuddle in her lap and make her feel better.

I feel as though the mainstream media is jeopardizing any chance Barack O'Bama has in the election, because the more often the media rips apart a typical American family with internal struggles, as all American families have...the more Americans can correlate with the struggles and issues...the more likely they ideal with Palin...as a result, O'Bama's numbers decrease...despite if no negative commentary is made on his behalf.

My Spa Experience was paw-fect!

So, today I had a paw-fect day at the spa...I go to The Yuppy Puppy Spa at Winghaven. It's ruff-licious! I can get my lil' toes polished and a blueberry and vanilla facial at the same time! What more could a spoiled pooch like me want!? Maybe next time, I can get my top-knot highlighted. My pal, Suzzie, the pug go her ear fur highlighted purple for her birthday. She looked rrrogeous!

I know I totally deserve a day at the spa after playing fetch with Daddy for a whole hour last night. He is training me for the agility contest. I will jump through hoops and fetch bones that weigh more than my 3lbs!

WELL, I'm sure I'll have plenty more Puppy-Adventures later...I have a play-date later with my next door doggies, Shooter & Sadie. Shhh! But, I have a lil' crush on Shooter!

Ruff you later,

Miss Lilly Puppy
